अनन्तरंa·nan·ta·raṃ परमेश्वरोpa·ra·meś·va·ro मूससमवदत्mūsasamavadat त्वम्tvam इखायेikhāye लवंशान्lavaṃśān वद्vad तेभ्यtebh·ya इमांi·māṃ कथाka·thā कथयka·tha·ya, यदिya·di कश्चिद्kaś·cid ईश्वरायīś·va·rā·ya विशेषviśeṣa घतिश्दटशातिghatiśdaṭaśāti तर्दtarda प्राणिमूच्यंprāṇimūcyaṃ त्वयाtva·yā निरूपिष्यतेnirūpiṣyate।

anantaraṃ parameśvaro mūsasamavadat tvam ikhāye lavaṃśān vad tebhya imāṃ kathā kathaya, yadi kaścid īśvarāya viśeṣa ghatiśdaṭaśāti tarda prāṇimūcyaṃ tvayā nirūpiṣyate|

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the LORD by thy estimation.

अa विंशवतसरात्viṃśavatasarāt षष्टितमवर्घवयोṣaṣṭitamavarghavayo यावत्yā·vat पूतश्रकलनुसारात्pūtaśrakalanusārāt पञ्चाशत्pañ·cā·śat शेकल्रूप्याणिśekalrūpyāṇi पुंसःpuṃ·saḥ कृतेkṛ·te मूल्यंmūl·yaṃ भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti।

a viṃśavatasarāt ṣaṣṭitamavarghavayo yāvat pūtaśrakalanusārāt pañcāśat śekalrūpyāṇi puṃsaḥ kṛte mūlyaṃ bhaviṣyati|

And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

yadyekamāsāt paścavadhaivayo yāvad bhavati tahaṃ puṃsaḥ kṛte pañca śeva larūpyaṃ striyāḥ kṛte

And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.

चयःcayaḥ एकलekala रूप्यंrūp·yaṃ निरूपिव्यतेnirūpivyate। यदिya·di षट्टिवघंṣaṭṭivaghaṃ तद्धिकवपषेtaddhikavapaṣe वाvā वयाvayā भवतिbha·va·ti तदta·da यंसःyaṃsaḥ कृतेkṛ·te पञ्चदश्रशेकल्pañcadaśraśekal स्त्रियाःstriyāḥ कृतेkṛ·te दषdaṣa प्रकलरूप्यंprakalarūpyaṃ निरूपिष्यतेnirūpiṣyate।

But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that vowed shall the priest value him.

तदन्यथाta·dan·ya·thā विनिमयोvi·ni·ma·yo वानvāna कत्तव्यःkattavyaḥ, अथादभद्रविनिमयाद्athādabhadravinimayād भयंbha·yaṃ भडविनिमयादभर्डbhaḍavinimayādabharḍa वाvā नna दातव्यंdā·tav·yaṃ, यदिya·di कश्चित्kaś·cit पशुनाpa·śu·nā पनंpanaṃ विनिमयतेvinimayate तदतोtadato दावेवयपश्रdāvevayapaśra युतोyuto मविष्यतःmaviṣyataḥ।

tadanyathā vinimayo vāna kattavyaḥ, athādabhadravinimayād bhayaṃ bhaḍavinimayādabharḍa vā na dātavyaṃ, yadi kaścit paśunā panaṃ vinimayate tadato dāvevayapaśra yuto maviṣyataḥ|

He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change beast for beast, then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy.

And the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it, who art the priest, so shall it be.

kintu yadi sa kayaccita mamṛkṣati takṣi sa nirūpi tamṛlyasya pañcamāṃśam adhikaṃ dāsyati|

But if he will at all redeem it, then he shall add a fifth part thereof unto thy estimation.

किन्तुkin·tu महान्ma·hān परंpa·raṃ यदिya·di भुवंbhuvaṃ पावयतिpāvayati नद्धिnaddhi याजकेनyājakena मद्वषैmadvaṣai यावदवशिरूवघाणांyāvadavaśirūvaghāṇāṃ संस्यानुसारात्saṃsyānusārāt तेनte·na साकंsā·kaṃ रूप्येrūpye गणितोga·ṇi·to सतिsa·ti त्व्चिरूपितमृल्यंtvcirūpitamṛlyaṃ न्धुनविष्यतेndhunaviṣyate।

kintu mahān paraṃ yadi bhuvaṃ pāvayati naddhi yājakena madvaṣai yāvadavaśirūvaghāṇāṃ saṃsyānusārāt tena sākaṃ rūpye gaṇito sati tvcirūpitamṛlyaṃ ndhunaviṣyate|

But if he sanctify his field after the jubile, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, even unto the year of the jubile, and it shall be abated from thy estimation.

तद्भूपावकोाtadbhūpāvakoā जनाja·nā यदिya·di कथद्धित्kathaddhit तांtāṃ मुमुच्ततिmumuctati तदाta·dā सsa त्व्विरूपितरूप्याद्tvvirūpitarūpyād अधिकांadhikāṃ पश्चमांशंpaścamāṃśaṃ दास्यतिdās·ya·ti तेनte·na साsā तस्यtas·ya निख्छेष्यतेnikhcheṣyate।

tadbhūpāvakoā janā yadi kathaddhit tāṃ mumuctati tadā sa tvvirūpitarūpyād adhikāṃ paścamāṃśaṃ dāsyati tena sā tasya nikhcheṣyate|

And if he that sanctified the field will in any wise redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be assured to him.
20

किन्तुkin·tu यदिya·di सsa स्वभवंsvabhavaṃ नna मोचयतिmo·ca·ya·ti वान्यंvānyaṃ प्रतिpra·ti विक्रीणीतेvikrīṇīte तर्हिtar·hi साsā कदापिka·dā·pi नna मोच्यतेmoc·ya·te।

kintu yadi sa svabhavaṃ na mocayati vānyaṃ prati vikrīṇīte tarhi sā kadāpi na mocyate|

And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more.

किन्तुkin·tu सोभsobha मंदव्ंmaṃdavṃ कतुःkatuḥ कराद्ka·rād गताga·tā निवेदितभूषटिवniveditabhūṣaṭiva परमेश्वरायparameśvarāya मृताmṛ·tā भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti तत्रtat·ra याजकाधिकाराyājakādhikārā भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti।

kintu sobha maṃdavṃ katuḥ karād gatā niveditabhūṣaṭiva parameśvarāya mṛtā bhaviṣyati tatra yājakādhikārā bhaviṣyati|

But the field, when it goeth out in the jubile, shall be holy unto the LORD, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest’s.

Then the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy estimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he shall give thine estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the LORD.

महवयैmahavayai साsā पुनpu·na विक्रतुरुथाद्vikraturuthād भूम्यधिकारिणःbhūmyadhikāriṇaḥ करेka·re समपेयिष्यतेsamapeyiṣyate।

In the year of the jubile the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land did belong.

And all thy estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel.

परमेश्वरायparameśvarāya दयंdayaṃ प्रथमजंprathamajaṃ पसुवत्संpasuvatsaṃ कापिkā·pi पावयितुpāvayitu नna शच्यतिśacyati शोśo वत्साvat·sā मेषवत्सोmeṣavatso वाvā भवेत्bha·vet सsa परमेश्वरस्यpa·ra·meś·va·ras·ya भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti।

parameśvarāya dayaṃ prathamajaṃ pasuvatsaṃ kāpi pāvayitu na śacyati śo vatsā meṣavatso vā bhavet sa parameśvarasya bhaviṣyati|

Only the firstling of the beasts, which should be the LORD’s firstling, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the LORD’s.
27

सsa यद्यमुचिजन्तyadyamucijanta भेवतिbhevati त्किंtkiṃ तदधिकारीtadadhikārī त्वचिरूपितमृल्येनtvacirūpitamṛlyena तंtaṃ मोचयिष्यतिmocayiṣyati तत्राधिकंtatrādhikaṃ पश्चमांशंpaścamāṃśaṃ दास्यतिdās·ya·ti, यदिya·di नna मक्तस्तहहिंmaktastahahiṃ त्व्निरूपिtvnirūpi मूल्येनmūl·ye·na विक्रेव्यतेvikrevyate।

कित्kit खसब्दंसखातkhasabdaṃsakhāta यतिच्ित्yaticit परमेश्वरायparameśvarāya निवेदयतिni·ve·da·ya·ti तन्नरःtannaraḥ पशुवाधिछछतभूमिpaśuvādhichachatabhūmi खण्डंkhaṇ·ḍaṃ वाvā भवेत्bha·vet, तन्नtan·na विकरष्यतेvikaraṣyate नna वाvā माचयिव्यतेmācayivyate यतःya·taḥ

kit khasabdaṃsakhāta yaticit parameśvarāya nivedayati tannaraḥ paśuvādhichachatabhūmi khaṇḍaṃ vā bhavet, tanna vikaraṣyate na vā mācayivyate yataḥ

Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD.
29

सर्व्वेंsar·veṃ निवेदितंniveditaṃ वस्तvasta परमेश्वरायparameśvarāya पुतंputaṃ भवतिbha·va·ti।

sarvveṃ niveditaṃ vasta parameśvarāya putaṃ bhavati|

None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.
30

निवेदितोni·ve·di·to नरोna·ro नna माचयिस्यतेmācayisyate, सsa विनाशिव्यतेvināśivyate।

nivedito naro na mācayisyate, sa vināśivyate|

And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’s: it is holy unto the LORD.

भूश्स्यानांbhūśsyānāṃ शाखिफलानांśākhiphalānāṃ वाvā ग्मेरुत्यन्नव्याणांgmerutyannavyāṇāṃ दश्शमांशःdaśśamāṃśaḥ परमश्चरस्यparamaścarasya भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti सएवsa·e·va परमेश्वरायपुतःparameśvarāyaputaḥ।
