यदिya·di कित्kit साक्षीsāk·ṣī भूत्वाbhūt·vā श्रयंśrayaṃ श्ुत्वापिखेनśutvāpikhena यद्yad दद्धंdaddhaṃ विदितंवाviditaṃvā तन्नtan·na प्रकाश्यpra·kāś·ya पापंpā·paṃ करोतिka·ro·ti नद्धिnaddhi सsa खपापस्यkhapāpasya शास्तिśās·ti भोच्छतिbhocchati।

yadi kit sākṣī bhūtvā śrayaṃ śutvāpikhena yad daddhaṃ viditaṃvā tanna prakāśya pāpaṃ karoti naddhi sa khapāpasya śāsti bhocchati|

And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

वदिvadi कश्वित्kaśvit नात्वाnātvā अश्ुचिजयम्aśucijayam अर्थात्ar·thāt च्यसुचिपशाःcyasucipaśāḥ एवंe·vaṃ वाउसुचिगोमेबादीनांvāusucigomebādīnāṃ वम्vam चअखुचिकीटcaakhucikīṭa स्यsya शवंśa·vaṃ स्पृशतिspṛ·śa·ti तर्हिtar·hi सोso खचिkhaci दावीdāvī चca भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti।

vadi kaśvit nātvā aśucijayam arthāt cyasucipaśāḥ evaṃ vāusucigomebādīnāṃ vam caakhucikīṭa sya śavaṃ spṛśati tarhi so khaci dāvī ca bhaviṣyati|

Or if a soul touch any unclean thing, whether it be a carcase of an unclean beast, or a carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean creeping things, and if it be hidden from him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty.

aparaṃ vācālatayā manuṣyai vadat śapyata, tadanusārāt sadasadā bhavatu amī kariṣyāmīti gadan yadi kaścit nātvā vācālatayā śapati, taka sa tajajñātvā tena dāghīṃ bhaviṣyati|

Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.

And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall offer that which is for the sin offering first, and wring off his head from his neck, but shall not divide it asunder:

सsa प्रायprāya स्थित्तबसीःsthittabasīḥ किचित्kicit श्रितंśritaṃ ख़च्ीलाk͟hacīlā वदाःvadāḥ पारंpā·raṃ विकरिष्यतिvikariṣyati शेषंśe·ṣaṃ सर्व्वरत्तंsarvarattaṃ वेद्याved·yā मूलेmū·le निषच्यतिniṣacyati तेनte·na तएवta·e·va प्रायस्थित्तंprāyasthittaṃ भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti।

sa prāya sthittabasīḥ kicit śritaṃ k͟hacīlā vadāḥ pāraṃ vikariṣyati śeṣaṃ sarvvarattaṃ vedyā mūle niṣacyati tena taeva prāyasthittaṃ bhaviṣyati|

And he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin offering upon the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin offering.

ततःta·taḥ सsa विधिनाvi·dhi·nā दितीयंditīyaṃ चामाथम्cāmātham उत्ut उच्छतिucchati, इत्थंit·thaṃ याजyāja नna तस्यtas·ya पापाथंpāpāthaṃ पावच्ित्तेpāvacitte कृतेkṛ·te तस्यtas·ya पापक्षमाpā·pak·ṣa·mā मविष्यतिmaviṣyati।

tataḥ sa vidhinā ditīyaṃ cāmātham ut ucchati, itthaṃ yāja na tasya pāpāthaṃ pāvacitte kṛte tasya pāpakṣamā maviṣyati|

And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he hath sinned, and it shall be forgiven him.

कपातवत्सदयस्यkapātavatsadayasya पारावतवत्छद्रयस्यpārāvatavatchadrayasya वाvā दानमपिdānamapi वदिvadi तस्याशरक्यंtasyāśarakyaṃ भवतिbha·va·ti, तक्षिtakṣi सsa खपापस्यkhapāpasya पायस्वित्ता्थpāyasvittātha रुफादशमांशंruphādaśamāṃśaṃ गाधूमचणापक्ारम्gādhūmacaṇāpakāram खानेष्यतिkhāneṣyati तदुपरिta·du·pa·ri तैलंtai·laṃ नna दास्यतिdās·ya·ti कुन्दरkundara नna निधास्यतिnidhāsyati यस्मात्yas·māt तत्tat प्राय्छित्तंprāychittaṃ भवतिbha·va·ti।

kapātavatsadayasya pārāvatavatchadrayasya vā dānamapi vadi tasyāśarakyaṃ bhavati, takṣi sa khapāpasya pāyasvittātha ruphādaśamāṃśaṃ gādhūmacaṇāpakāram khāneṣyati tadupari tailaṃ na dāsyati kundara na nidhāsyati yasmāt tat prāychittaṃ bhavati|

But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering.

And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

सsa दषाdaṣā त्व्निरूयितमूल्यलभ्यंtvnirūyitamūlyalabhyaṃ निदाघंnidāghaṃ मेषनलिंmeṣanaliṃ त्रजात्trajāt याजकसमीपंyājakasamīpaṃ आनेष्यतिā·neṣ·ya·ti याजकनyājakana तदज्ञानछातदोाघायथेंtadajñānachātadoāghāyatheṃ प्रायछ्ित्तेprāyachitte कृतेkṛ·te तस्यtas·ya पापक्षमाpā·pak·ṣa·mā भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti।
