These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.

Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:

yuyaṃ teṣāṃ vadīti nāśyivaṣyaya pratimā bhaṃcyatha caityān vadkinā dāiyiṣyatha tacitadavapratimāṇḍetasyaya tatsthānāt teṣāṃ nāma lepya| yūyaṃ khapamuparameśvaraṃ prati tathā na kariṣyatha|

And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

किन्तुkin·tu युष्माकंyuṣ·mā·kaṃ प्रभुःpra·bhuḥ परमेश्वरpa·ra·meś·va·ra:

kintu yuṣmākaṃ prabhuḥ parameśvara:

Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.

खनामkhanāma निधातुंni·dhā·tuṃ वुद्याकंvudyākaṃ सर्व्ववंश्रमध्येsarvavaṃśramadhye यत्yat स्थानंsthā·naṃ वरीव्यतिvarīvyati तस्यtas·ya तद्tad वासस्थानंvā·sas·thā·naṃ गवेषयिष्यथga·ve·ṣa·yiṣ·ya·tha,

khanāma nidhātuṃ vudyākaṃ sarvvavaṃśramadhye yat sthānaṃ varīvyati tasya tad vāsasthānaṃ gaveṣayiṣyatha,

But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:

And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.

atra sthāne 'smākam khkīke jana iṃdānoṃ yathā khakhamanasā'bhilāvānusārād carati yuyaṃ tathā na karivyaya|

Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

वस्माट्vasmāṭ युष्माकंyuṣ·mā·kaṃ पमुपररमेखखरोpamupararamekhakharo युष्मभ्यंyuṣ·mabh·yaṃ यद्yad विश्रामस्थानम्viśrāmasthānam अधिकरारञ्चadhikarārañca दास्यतिdās·ya·ti तंtaṃ यूयंyū·yaṃ नेदानींne·dā·nīṃ पुप्ताःpuptāḥ।

vasmāṭ yuṣmākaṃ pamupararamekhakharo yuṣmabhyaṃ yad viśrāmasthānam adhikarārañca dāsyati taṃ yūyaṃ nedānīṃ puptāḥ|

For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.

But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;

Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:

युयंyu·yaṃ युष्माकंyuṣ·mā·kaṃ पुच्लाःpuclāḥ कन्याkan·yā दासाdā·sā दास्योdāsyo युष्मन्मध्येyuṣ·man·madh·ye इधिकारांशक्तोनाidhikārāṃśaktonā युद्मन्नगरदारान्तरस्थाyudmannagaradārāntarasthā लेवीयाlevīyā युवच्चyuvacca युष्माकंyuṣ·mā·kaṃ प्रभुपरमेश्वरस्यprabhuparameśvarasya सम्मखsammakha व्यानन्दिष्यथvyānandiṣyatha।

And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.

युयम्yu·yam अवधद्धंa·va·dhad·dhaṃ खट्टेkhaṭṭe सर्व्वस्थानेsarvasthāne छामबलिंchāmabaliṃ नna दास्यथdās·ya·tha।

yuyam avadhaddhaṃ khaṭṭe sarvvasthāne chāmabaliṃ na dāsyatha|

Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:

किन्तुkin·tu युद्राकंyudrākaṃ कस्यचित्kas·ya·cit वप्रस्यvaprasya मध्येmadh·ye परमेश्वरेणpa·ra·meś·va·re·ṇa यत्yat स्थानंsthā·naṃ वरीष्यतेvarīṣyate, तत्रtat·ra खखंदामबलीन्khakhaṃdāmabalīn दास्यथdās·ya·tha त्रtra चाज्ञानुरूपाणिcājñānurūpāṇi यच्ञकम्मोणिyacñakammoṇi करिष्यथka·riṣ·ya·tha।

kintu yudrākaṃ kasyacit vaprasya madhye parameśvareṇa yat sthānaṃ varīṣyate, tatra khakhaṃdāmabalīn dāsyatha tra cājñānurūpāṇi yacñakammoṇi kariṣyatha|

But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.

युष्माकंyuṣ·mā·kaṃ प्रभुपरमेखसरोाprabhuparamekhasaroā युष्मभ्यंyuṣ·mabh·yaṃ यामाशिषंyāmāśiṣaṃ दास्यतिdās·ya·ti तदनुरूपंta·da·nu·rū·paṃ सर्व्वेनगरुदाराभ्यन्तरेsarvenagarudārābhyantare युयंyu·yaṃ पशून्pa·śūn हत्वाhat·vā मनाभिलावानुरूपंmanābhilāvānurūpaṃ मांसंmāṃsaṃ भोच्छध्वेbhocchadhve यथाya·thā छषासारस्यchaṣāsārasya दरिणस्यdariṇasya मांसंmāṃsaṃ तथाta·thā तदपिta·da·pi सुच्यसुचिभिःsucyasucibhiḥ सर्व्वैलाकैsar·vai·lā·kai भच्तणोयंbhactaṇoyaṃ।

युयंyu·yaṃ केवलंke·va·laṃ रुधिरंru·dhi·raṃ नna भोच्छष्वेbhocchaṣve तत्tat श्रमोśra·mo जलवत्jalavat निक्तेश्यथnikteśyatha।

yuyaṃ kevalaṃ rudhiraṃ na bhocchaṣve tat śramo jalavat nikteśyatha|

Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.

But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.

अवधंavadhaṃ यूयंyū·yaṃ देषेऽवस्थितिकालंdeṣe'vasthitikālaṃ यावत्yā·vat लेवीयान्levīyān माmā अजनajana।

avadhaṃ yūyaṃ deṣe'vasthitikālaṃ yāvat levīyān mā ajana|

Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon the earth.

युझाकंyujhākaṃ प्रभुपरमेश्वरेणprabhuparameśvareṇa खाङ्गीकारानसाराट्khāṅgīkārānasārāṭ युष्माकंyuṣ·mā·kaṃ सौमायांsaumāyāṃ विस्तारिvistāri तायांtāyāṃ, मांसंmāṃsaṃ मोच्छामदेmocchāmade वागियंvā·gi·yaṃ यदिya·di मांसबभच्तमिmāṃsababhactami युश्राभिरूच्यतेyuśrābhirūcyate, तदहिtadahi युष्माकंyuṣ·mā·kaṃ मनेाभिलावानुसारात्maneābhilāvānusārāt मांसंmāṃsaṃ भक्िव्यतेbhakivyate।

When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

यथाya·thā छष्णसारइरिणानांchaṣṇasārairiṇānāṃ मांसंmāṃsaṃ तथाta·thā तदपिta·da·pi भक्तिष्यथbhaktiṣyatha, खुचिरस्ुचिव्वाkhucirasucivvā सर्व्वाsar·vā लाकस्तद्lākastad भक्तितुbhaktitu नोतिnoti।

Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.

केवलंke·va·laṃ रुचिरःruciraḥ युष्माभिyuṣ·mā·bhi तंtaṃ भच्तितचंbhactitacaṃ तचावधद्धंtacāvadhaddhaṃ यतोya·to रुधिरमेवrudhirameva जौjau वनंvanaṃ, अतोa·to मांसेनmāṃsena समंsa·maṃ प्राणानprāṇāna नna भेच्छ्येbhecchye।

kevalaṃ ruciraḥ yuṣmābhi taṃ bhactitacaṃ tacāvadhaddhaṃ yato rudhirameva jau vanaṃ, ato māṃsena samaṃ prāṇāna na bhecchye|

Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.

युयंyu·yaṃ तत्tat नna भुक्वाbhukvā भूमौbhū·mau जलवत्jalavat निक्तेश्यथnikteśyatha।

yuyaṃ tat na bhukvā bhūmau jalavat nikteśyatha|

Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.

युयंyu·yaṃ तन्नtan·na मेोच्छध्वंmeocchadhvaṃ परमेश्वरस्येद्यितकम्मेणिparameśvarasyedyitakammeṇi कृतेkṛ·te युद्राकंyudrākaṃ युश्रद्धाविवंशस्यyuśraddhāvivaṃśasya चca क्षेमंkṣe·maṃ भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti।

yuyaṃ tanna meocchadhvaṃ parameśvarasyedyitakammeṇi kṛte yudrākaṃ yuśraddhāvivaṃśasya ca kṣemaṃ bhaviṣyati|

Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.

Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose:

यूयंyū·yaṃ खखङमबलीन्khakhaṅamabalīn अर्थात्ar·thāt तेषांte·ṣāṃ मांसरुधिरेmāṃsarudhire युष्माकंyuṣ·mā·kaṃ प्रभुपरमेश्वर्स्यprabhuparameśvarsya वेद्याम्vedyām उत्सच्छेघutsacchegha, युष्मदीयबलोनांyuṣmadīyabalonāṃ रुधिरंru·dhi·raṃ पभुपरमेशरस्यpabhuparameśarasya वेद्यांved·yāṃ निच्तेश्यथnicteśyatha, किन्तुkin·tu तेषांte·ṣāṃ मांसंmāṃsaṃ युयंyu·yaṃ भक्तिव्यथbhaktivyatha।

yūyaṃ khakhaṅamabalīn arthāt teṣāṃ māṃsarudhire yuṣmākaṃ prabhuparameśvarsya vedyām utsacchegha, yuṣmadīyabalonāṃ rudhiraṃ pabhuparameśarasya vedyāṃ nicteśyatha, kintu teṣāṃ māṃsaṃ yuyaṃ bhaktivyatha|

And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.

युयंyu·yaṃ मयादिष्टान्येतानिmayādiṣṭānyetāni सर्व्ववाक्यानिsar·va·vāk·yā·ni श्रत्वाśratvā पालयतpā·la·ya·ta तेनte·na प्रभुपरमेश्वरprabhuparameśvara स्यsya गोचरेgo·ca·re ग्राद्यात्तमकम्म्णिgrādyāttamakammṇi कृतेkṛ·te युष्माकंyuṣ·mā·kaṃ युश्रद्धाyuśraddhā विवंशस्यvivaṃśasya सदाsa·dā सुभंsubhaṃ भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti।

yuyaṃ mayādiṣṭānyetāni sarvvavākyāni śratvā pālayata tena prabhuparameśvara sya gocare grādyāttamakammṇi kṛte yuṣmākaṃ yuśraddhā vivaṃśasya sadā subhaṃ bhaviṣyati|

Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.
