kintu leveyerāṃ iāroṇasya nāma likha rakekapiṭavaṃṣāyactasya kṛte khakarekā yaṣṭi bhaviṣyati|
And thou shalt write Aaron’s name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.

चाहंcā·haṃ त्वांtvāṃ साक्षात्sāk·ṣāt करोमिka·ro·mi तत्रtat·ra साच्वमञ्जूषायाःsācvamañjūṣāyāḥ सम्मुखेsam·mu·khe समाजावासमध्येsamājāvāsamadhye सर्व्वाsar·vā निधास्यसिni·dhās·ya·si।
cāhaṃ tvāṃ sākṣāt karomi tatra sācvamañjūṣāyāḥ sammukhe samājāvāsamadhye sarvvā nidhāsyasi|
And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.

योyo जनोja·no ममma·ma मनोानीतस्तस्यmanoānītastasya बहिःba·hiḥ पुष्पिताpuṣpitā भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti इखायेलवंikhāyelavaṃ शोśo युद्मतपतिक्रलंyudmatapatikralaṃ यद्yad वागयु्धंvāgayudhaṃ करोतिka·ro·ti तदहंta·da·haṃ खसमीभान्निवत्तंयिव्यामिkhasamībhānnivattaṃyivyāmi।
yo jano mama manoānītastasya bahiḥ puṣpitā bhaviṣyati ikhāyelavaṃ śo yudmatapatikralaṃ yad vāgayudhaṃ karoti tadahaṃ khasamībhānnivattaṃyivyāmi|
And it shall come to pass, that the man’s rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

तदाta·dā मूसाmū·sā इखायेलवंशानांikhāyelavaṃśānāṃ समक्तंsamaktaṃ परमारparamāra सम्मखात्sammakhāt ताtā युद्धyuddha वंछिटानयत्vaṃchiṭānayat ताtā दृट्टाdṛṭṭā तेte स्वांsvāṃ स्वांsvāṃ वष्टिvaṣṭi जडःjaḍaḥ परमेश्वरोpa·ra·meś·va·ro मृससंmṛsasaṃ जगादja·gā·da,
tadā mūsā ikhāyelavaṃśānāṃ samaktaṃ paramāra sammakhāt tā yuddha vaṃchiṭānayat tā dṛṭṭā te svāṃ svāṃ vaṣṭi jaḍaḥ parameśvaro mṛsasaṃ jagāda,
And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

इखायेल्ikhāyel वंशाvaṃ·śā मूसमंmū·sa·maṃ बभाषिरेba·bhā·ṣi·re पश्यpaś·ya वयंva·yaṃ म्नियामद्धेmniyāmaddhe वयंva·yaṃ विनश्यामःvi·naś·yā·maḥ सर्व्वंsar·vaṃ विनश्यामःvi·naś·yā·maḥ।
ikhāyel vaṃśā mūsamaṃ babhāṣire paśya vayaṃ mniyāmaddhe vayaṃ vinaśyāmaḥ sarvvaṃ vinaśyāmaḥ|
And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.

यतोya·to यःyaḥ कश्चित्kaś·cit परमेश्वरस्यावासान्तिकंparameśvarasyāvāsāntikaṃ यातिyā·ti सsa सियतेsiyate तद्दिtaddi किंkiṃ वयंva·yaṃ निः्शेघषप्थन्तंniḥśeghaṣapthantaṃ विनप्रयामःvinaprayāmaḥ? रra
yato yaḥ kaścit parameśvarasyāvāsāntikaṃ yāti sa siyate taddi kiṃ vayaṃ niḥśeghaṣapthantaṃ vinaprayāmaḥ? ra
Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?
