And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

वभाषेva·bhā·ṣe त्वमिखायेलीयtvamikhāyelīya वंशान्vaṃ·śān स्वेषांsve·ṣāṃ मध्याद्madh·yād मत्कृतेmat·kṛ·te नैवेद्यnaivedya संग्रहीतुंsaṃ·gra·hī·tuṃ वदva·da, तताta·tā योyo जनःja·naḥ स्वेच्छयाsvec·cha·yā मनसाma·na·sā समंsa·maṃ

vabhāṣe tvamikhāyelīya vaṃśān sveṣāṃ madhyād matkṛte naivedya saṃgrahītuṃ vada, tatā yo janaḥ svecchayā manasā samaṃ

Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

यत्yat प्रयच्छतिprayacchati तसमात्tasamāt तेte तनta·na मदीयंma·dī·yaṃ नावेदंnā·ve·daṃ गृहन्तुgṛhantu।

yat prayacchati tasamāt te tana madīyaṃ nāvedaṃ gṛhantu|

And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,

tai dadā mañjaṣāyā balayeṣu sthāsyataḥ, tato na mocapra yiṣyataḥ|

The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.

अष्टंaṣṭaṃ यत्yat साध्यपचंsādhyapacaṃ तुभ्यंtubh·yaṃ दास्यामिdās·yā·mi तत्tat तन्मझुघायाtanmajhughāyā मध्येmadh·ye निधास्यसिni·dhās·ya·si।

aṣṭaṃ yat sādhyapacaṃ tubhyaṃ dāsyāmi tat tanmajhughāyā madhye nidhāsyasi|

And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.

पश्चात्paś·cāt निमेलखुवणेनnimelakhuvaṇena साडेचिद्स्तदौीsāḍecidstadauī धंdhaṃ सादsāda हस्तविस्ततम्hastavistatam पापाच्छादनंpāpācchādanaṃ निम्मास्यसिnimmāsyasi।

And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

त्वंtvaṃ तदच्छादनंtadacchādanaṃ मञ्जुवायाmañjuvāyā उपरिu·pa·ri निधास्यसिni·dhās·ya·si यत्yat साध्यपचsādhyapaca म्m अहंa·haṃ तुभ्यंtubh·yaṃ दास्यामिdās·yā·mi तत्tat तस्याtas·yā मझूघायाmajhūghāyā मध्येmadh·ye निधास्यसिni·dhās·ya·si।

tvaṃ tadacchādanaṃ mañjuvāyā upari nidhāsyasi yat sādhyapaca m ahaṃ tubhyaṃ dāsyāmi tat tasyā majhūghāyā madhye nidhāsyasi|

And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.

अददंadadaṃ तत्रtat·ra स्थानेsthā·ne त्वांtvāṃ साक्षात्sāk·ṣāt करिष्यामिka·riṣ·yā·mi तस्यtas·ya पापाच्छादनस्योपरिभागात्pāpācchādanasyoparibhāgāt साच्यमञ्जूुषायाsācyamañjūuṣāyā उपरिस्थितयोuparisthitayo इयोःiyoḥ किरूवयेkirūvaye मध्यात्madh·yāt त्वयाtva·yā साकमालपन्sākamālapan इखायेलोाikhāyeloā वंशंvaṃśaṃ प्रतिpra·ti त्वाम्tvām खज्ञापयिष्यानिkhajñāpayiṣyāni।

And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway.

पस्थात्pasthāt त्वम्tvam ाहतखणनāhatakhaṇana दीपटृच्तंdīpaṭṛctaṃ कुरुku·ru तत्रtat·ra प्रकाण्डशाखावत्तुलाकारकलिकापुष्पाणिprakāṇḍaśākhāvattulākārakalikāpuṣpāṇi स्थास्यन्तिsthās·yan·ti

pasthāt tvam āhatakhaṇana dīpaṭṛctaṃ kuru tatra prakāṇḍaśākhāvattulākārakalikāpuṣpāṇi sthāsyanti

And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.

फलतःpha·la·taḥ ततपार््वैकतस्तिखःtatapārvaikatastikhaḥ शाखाःśākhāḥ अन्यतश्चan·ya·taś·ca तिखtikha इमांi·māṃ सट्शाखास्तस्मात्saṭśākhāstasmāt निर्गमिष्यन्तिnir·ga·miṣ·yan·ti।

And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side:

tasya dīptasya yāḥ ṣaṭ śākhā nigacchanti tāsāṃ dayāṃ śākhayāradha sakā kalikā tadanyaśekhadhoāradhaścekā kalikā tadanya śākha. yāradhakhekā kalikā sthāsyati|

And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick.

कलिकाशाखेkalikāśākhe तदंtadaṃ शोśo भविष्यतःbha·viṣ·ya·taḥ सर्व्वााहतनिर्मलखर्शेsarvāāhatanirmalakharśe निमाविष्यन्तेnimāviṣyante।
