saiva tvam udade bhāyyām vaca sthāne kathabvana| pañcā duhitarā vāpi sthāne 'smin mā bhavant te yasmāt sthāne iṃca jāyante ye bālo yāmya bālikāḥ atra daṣe ca yāstaṣāṃ mātaraṃ prasavanti tān| janayanti ca ye tātāsalānadhyāḍai parameśvaraḥ||

For thus saith the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land;

तेte रोगेroge विविधैःvividhaiḥ च्ीणःcīṇaḥ समुत्सच्यन्तिsamutsacyanti जाjā वनंvanaṃ। नna प्रोचिच्यतिprocicyati तान्tān कोऽपिko·pi भूमाbhūmā वाvā निखनिष्यतिnikhaniṣyati।। स्थास्यन्तिsthās·yan·ti पतिताक्तpatitākta हिhi भूमेरुपरिbhūmerupari सारवत्sāravat। असिनाasinā च्तुधयाctudhayā वापिvāpi मरिष्यन्तिmariṣyanti चca केचनke·ca·na।। भूविडारिपश्रनाच्चbhūviḍāripaśranācca खेचराणाच्चkhecarāṇācca पक्षिणांpak·ṣi·ṇāṃ। मच्याmacyā स्रवsrava भविष्यन्तिbha·viṣ·yan·ti कायास्तेघांkāyāsteghāṃ गतासवःgatāsavaḥ।।

te roge vividhaiḥ cīṇaḥ samutsacyanti jā vanaṃ| na procicyati tān ko'pi bhūmā vā nikhaniṣyati|| sthāsyanti patitākta hi bhūmerupari sāravat| asinā ctudhayā vāpi mariṣyanti ca kecana|| bhūviḍāripaśranācca khecarāṇācca pakṣiṇāṃ| macyā srava bhaviṣyanti kāyāsteghāṃ gatāsavaḥ||

They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

यस्मात्yas·māt परेशpareśa च्याहितत्cyāhitat माmā चीत्कार्टक्षंcītkārṭakṣaṃ विशviśa। शोकśoka कत्तु्नkattuna माmā गच्छgac·cha माmā वाvā विलपतःvilapataḥ सहsa·ha।। यस्माज्जनेस्यyasmājjanesya रते्योrateyo क्षरिवष्यामिkṣarivaṣyāmi निजाशिषंnijāśiṣaṃ। प्रसादःpra·sā·daḥ करूणाद्धेतिkarūṇāddheti भाषतेbhā·ṣa·te परमेश्वरःpa·ra·meś·va·raḥ।।

yasmāt pareśa cyāhitat mā cītkārṭakṣaṃ viśa| śoka kattuna mā gaccha mā vā vilapataḥ saha|| yasmājjanesya rateyo kṣarivaṣyāmi nijāśiṣaṃ| prasādaḥ karūṇāddheti bhāṣate parameśvaraḥ||

For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD, even lovingkindness and mercies.

डमेḍame द्ुदामहान्तखखdudāmahāntakhakha मरिव्यन््यचmarivyanyaca नीतिnīti। नna त्वन्त्येद्धिक्रियांtvantyeddhikriyāṃ तेषांte·ṣāṃ जनःja·naḥ कोऽपिko·pi करिष्यतिka·riṣ·ya·ti।। नna एाचिष्यतिeāciṣyati तान्tān कस्थितkasthita नna च्तताङ्गाctatāṅgā भविष्यतिbha·viṣ·ya·ti। नna वाvā तेषांte·ṣāṃ कृतेkṛ·te कस्थित्kasthit खशिरोkhaśiro मुण्डयिष्यतिmuṇḍayiṣyati।।

ḍame dudāmahāntakhakha marivyanyaca nīti| na tvantyeddhikriyāṃ teṣāṃ janaḥ ko'pi kariṣyati|| na eāciṣyati tān kasthita na ctatāṅgā bhaviṣyati| na vā teṣāṃ kṛte kasthit khaśiro muṇḍayiṣyati||

Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:

नna मृतानांmṛ·tā·nāṃ कृतेkṛ·te कोऽपिko·pi तान्tān सान्त्वयितुमिच्छsāntvayitumiccha याyā पूर्pūr एकोe·ko यथायोग्यंyathāyogyaṃ भङ्क्ताbhaṅ·ktā तेभ्यःtebh·yaḥ प्रदास्यतिpradāsyati।। पितरंpi·ta·raṃ मातरंmā·ta·raṃ वापिvāpi योyo ऽनुशोचतिnuśocati कोऽपिko·pi तंtaṃ। सान्त्वनाख्चकेsāntvanākhcake पात्रेpāt·re पेयंpe·yaṃ नna पाययिष्यतिpāyayiṣyati।।

na mṛtānāṃ kṛte ko'pi tān sāntvayitumiccha yā pūr eko yathāyogyaṃ bhaṅktā tebhyaḥ pradāsyati|| pitaraṃ mātaraṃ vāpi yo 'nuśocati ko'pi taṃ| sāntvanākhcake pātre peyaṃ na pāyayiṣyati||

Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.

यचेपविश्यyacepaviśya तेte! साडेंsāḍeṃ कुय्यास्वंkuyyāsvaṃ पाpā नमोnamo जनेja·ne। तादृशंtā·dṛ·śaṃ पानगेदंpānagedaṃ त्वंtvaṃ नैवnai·va प्रवेदटुमदंसिpravedaṭumadaṃsi।।

Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.

यतोya·to देतारिदdetārida ब्रूतेbrū·te सेनाध्यच्तःsenādhyactaḥ परमेश्वरःpa·ra·meś·va·raḥ। इस्रायेलःis·rā·ye·laḥ प्रभःprabhaḥ पश्यpaś·ya युष्माकमेवyuṣ·mā·ka·me·va सम्मृखेsammṛkhe। युष्माकमेवyuṣ·mā·ka·me·va कालेkā·le चाह्मुच्छत्स्याग्यतःcāhmucchatsyāgyataḥ स्थलात्sthalāt चघेcaghe प्रीततयोःprītatayoḥ शब्दśab·da शब्दśab·da वरकन्ययेाःvarakanyayeāḥ।।

yato detārida brūte senādhyactaḥ parameśvaraḥ| isrāyelaḥ prabhaḥ paśya yuṣmākameva sammṛkhe| yuṣmākameva kāle cāhmucchatsyāgyataḥ sthalāt caghe prītatayoḥ śabda śabda varakanyayeāḥ||

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.

उप्लोष्वuploṣva तेषुte·ṣu वाक्येषुvāk·ye·ṣu जातिमेतांjātimetāṃ प्रतिpra·ti त्वयाtva·yā। यदिya·di तेte त्वांtvāṃ वदन्तीदंvadantīdaṃ कुतku·ta इताःitāḥ प्रभाषतेprabhāṣate। असानधिasānadhi महाजनिद्धम्mahājaniddham झटjhaṭa परमेश्वरःpa·ra·meś·va·raḥ।। अस्माकमपराधःasmākamaparādhaḥ कःkaḥ केनke·na वाvā पापकर्म्मणाpā·pa·kar·ma·ṇā। अस्त्रभोाःastrabhoāḥ परेशस्यpa·re·śas·ya साक्षात्sāk·ṣāt पातकिनाpātakinā वयंva·yaṃ

uploṣva teṣu vākyeṣu jātimetāṃ prati tvayā| yadi te tvāṃ vadantīdaṃ kuta itāḥ prabhāṣate| asānadhi mahājaniddham jhaṭa parameśvaraḥ|| asmākamaparādhaḥ kaḥ kena vā pāpakarmmaṇā| astrabhoāḥ pareśasya sākṣāt pātakinā vayaṃ

And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?

त्वंtvaṃ तान्tān वच्छसिvacchasi तरदंtaradaṃ परमेशस्यpa·ra·me·śas·ya वागियंvā·gi·yaṃ। तातोtā·to वोvo मांmāṃ परि्ज्यान्धान्parijyāndhān दवान्davān ्अनगत्यanagatya सेवकाse·va·kā अभवंस्तघाम्abhavaṃstaghām आचयācaya प्रणम्यpra·ṇam·ya तान्tān तेस्यक्तोtesyakto ऽहंhaṃ व्यवस्थाvya·vas·thā चca ममma·ma तेte नंदिnaṃdi रविताravitā

tvaṃ tān vacchasi taradaṃ parameśasya vāgiyaṃ| tāto vo māṃ parijyāndhān davān anagatya sevakā abhavaṃstaghām ācaya praṇamya tān tesyakto 'haṃ vyavasthā ca mama te naṃdi ravitā

Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;

यूयन्तुyū·yan·tu खीयतातेभ्यःkhīyatātebhyaḥ कुल्छिताचारकारिणःkulchitācārakāriṇaḥ। पश्यतpaś·ya·ta मेme स्वंsvaṃ ओतुंotuṃ सर्व्वsar·va यूयमनिच्छवःyūyamanicchavaḥ। तस्मात्tas·māt खदुछचित्तानांkhaduchacittānāṃ जडतामनगच्छथjaḍatāmanagacchatha।।

yūyantu khīyatātebhyaḥ kulchitācārakāriṇaḥ| paśyata me svaṃ otuṃ sarvva yūyamanicchavaḥ| tasmāt khaduchacittānāṃ jaḍatāmanagacchatha||

And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:

पच्चेश्यामिpacceśyāmi ततोta·to युष्मान्yuṣ·mān अस्यas·ya देशस्यde·śas·ya मध्यतःmadh·ya·taḥ दररदेश्षंdararadeśṣaṃ नna युष्माभिyuṣ·mā·bhi नna युश्मज्ननकेyuśmajnanake गतंga·taṃ।। युयंyu·yaṃ तचेतरान्tacetarān देवात्de·vāt सेविव्यध्वेsevivyadhve दिवानिशंdi·vā·ni·śaṃ व्यनुकम्पान्तvyanukampānta युष्मासुyuṣ·mā·su वत्तविष्याग्यद्ंvattaviṣyāgyadṃ नहिna·hi।।

pacceśyāmi tato yuṣmān asya deśasya madhyataḥ dararadeśṣaṃ na yuṣmābhi na yuśmajnanake gataṃ|| yuyaṃ tacetarān devāt sevivyadhve divāniśaṃ vyanukampānta yuṣmāsu vattaviṣyāgyadṃ nahi||

Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour.

चca परोश्योparośyo ब्रतेbrate कालkā·la आयातिā·yā·ti तादृशःtā·dṛ·śaḥ इखायेलीikhāyelī यवंशानyavaṃśāna याyā मिसदशात्misadaśāt समानयतsa·mā·na·ya·ta परमेश्वरःpa·ra·meś·va·raḥ सsa साच्तोतिsāctoti नna पुनpu·na वंच्यतेvaṃcyate यदाya·dā।।

ca parośyo brate kāla āyāti tādṛśaḥ ikhāyelī yavaṃśāna yā misadaśāt samānayata parameśvaraḥ sa sāctoti na puna vaṃcyate yadā||

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

इखायेलीयवंशांस्तikhāyelīyavaṃśāṃsta यya उदीudī चीनदेष्तःcīnadeṣtaḥ। तांश्चtāṃ·śca विकीण्वान्vikīṇvān यश्चyaś·ca तस्माद्tas·mād देसमूdesamū हतःha·taḥ आनयत्ā·na·yat परमेशःparameśaḥ सsa साच्चीतिsāccīti वच्चतेvaccate तदाta·dā।। तेषांte·ṣāṃ पितामदभ्यश्pitāmadabhyaś प्रदत्तायांpradattāyāṃ मयाma·yā पुराpu·rā। खौवभूमोkhauvabhūmo पुनव्वारंpunavvāraṃ स्थापयिष्यामिsthā·pa·yiṣ·yā·mi तानहंtā·na·haṃ।। समानेष्यामिsamāneṣyāmi पश्याpaśyā घोवरान्ghovarān बजbaja स्काskā न्n। तेte जनांस्तान्janāṃstān घरिः्यन्तोव्यंghariḥyantovyaṃ ब्रूतेbrū·te परमेश्वरःpa·ra·meś·va·raḥ।।

ikhāyelīyavaṃśāṃsta ya udī cīnadeṣtaḥ| tāṃśca vikīṇvān yaśca tasmād desamū hataḥ ānayat parameśaḥ sa sāccīti vaccate tadā|| teṣāṃ pitāmadabhyaś pradattāyāṃ mayā purā| khauvabhūmo punavvāraṃ sthāpayiṣyāmi tānahaṃ|| samāneṣyāmi paśyā ghovarān baja skā n| te janāṃstān ghariḥyantovyaṃ brūte parameśvaraḥ||

But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

समानेष्यामिsamāneṣyāmi चca व्याघान्vyāghān बङसह्यांbaṅasahyāṃ स्ततःstataḥ परंpa·raṃ। स्वदेsvade सर्व्वशेलेsarvaśele चca सर्व्वच्छिद्ेsarvacchide चca पाव्वतेpāvvate। यननान्मुगयमाणाक्तेyananānmugayamāṇākte तान्tān घरिष्यन्तिgha·riṣ·yan·ti मानवान्mā·na·vān।। यya

प्रसोात्वंमेबलंprasoātvaṃmebalaṃ दुगेduge सङ्कटेsaṅ·ka·ṭe चca गतिga·ti ममma·ma। एवयाevayā प्रान्तभागेभ्यःprāntabhāgebhyaḥ सर्व्वजातीयमानवाःsar·va·jā·tī·ya·mā·na·vāḥ। त्वामेवाभ्यागमिष्यन्तिtvāmevābhyāgamiṣyanti भाषमाणाbhā·ṣa·mā·ṇā इद्id वचःva·caḥ।। यस्माकंyasmākaṃ जन्मदातृणांjanmadātṛṇāṃ वva आसात्āsāt पेटकpeṭaka विधिःvi·dhiḥ। व्याजvyāja रवra·va सsa वाप्मञ्vāpmañ सर्व्वंधानुपकारकःsarvaṃdhānupakārakaḥ।।

prasoātvaṃmebalaṃ duge saṅkaṭe ca gati mama| evayā prāntabhāgebhyaḥ sarvvajātīyamānavāḥ| tvāmevābhyāgamiṣyanti bhāṣamāṇā id vacaḥ|| yasmākaṃ janmadātṛṇāṃ va āsāt peṭaka vidhiḥ| vyāja rava sa vāpmañ sarvvaṃdhānupakārakaḥ||

O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

स्वार्थsvārtha विंviṃ निरम्मिमीतेशान्nirammimīteśān मनुव्यत्तेmanuvyatte त्वनीtvanī खराःkharāḥ।।

अतःa·taḥ पश्यावक्राशेpaśyāvakrāśe ऽस्मिन्smin ज्ञापयिय्यामिjñāpayiyyāmi तानहंtā·na·haṃ। ज्ञापयिष्यामिjñā·pa·yiṣ·yā·mi मडस्तंmaḍastaṃ मत्प्रभुवन्नmatprabhuvanna तान्tān जनान्ja·nān। तेte चca ज्ञास्यन्तिjñās·yan·ti यत्yat ख्यातिरस्तिkhyātirasti मेme परमेश्वररःparameśvararaḥ।।

ataḥ paśyāvakrāśe 'smin jñāpayiyyāmi tānahaṃ| jñāpayiṣyāmi maḍastaṃ matprabhuvanna tān janān| te ca jñāsyanti yat khyātirasti me parameśvararaḥ||

Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.
